Udawalawe National Park (Southern Gateway)

A short drive south of the Ratnapura district, Udawalawe National Park is renowned for its resident herds of wild Asian elephants, seen year-round against a backdrop of open grassland and the Udawalawe reservoir. It is home to the Elephant Transit Home.
