Bopath Ella Falls

Bopath Ella takes its name from its distinctive shape, which resembles the leaf of the Bo (sacred fig) tree. Fed by the Kuru Ganga, the 30-metre fall is one of the most photographed in Sri Lanka and is wrapped in local legend. A short walk leads through village stalls to the base of the falls, where a wide pool invites a refreshing dip.
